Thursday 13th March Bedford walk led by Tony R

 This walk should have been led by Jenny & Ged but having caught a bug they felt they were unable to lead a walk. Therefore Tony R took over at the last minute.
12 walkers met at the Priory Park car park & walked for 1.5 miles along the old varsity railway line crossing the A 421 part way. We turned left off this track into the Grange Estate towards the River Great Ouse. We passed the turn off to the Cardington Lock & soon afterwards 2 ladies left us to take a shortcut back to the start. However we took the opportunity to have a group photo before they left us.

After a few minutes we stopped for a coffee stop.

 We then continued on the track next to the river before re-joining the old railway track which we followed back to the car park.  Ten of us retired to the Priory Park Beefeater for sustenance after our 7 mile walk.
