Fifteen walkers met at the car park opposite the church for a 5.5 mile walk out to Husborne Crawley
Walking through Woburn we made our way out to Birchmoor Green and on towards Birchmoor Farm, where the Duke of Bedford is camped out whilst the ongoing repairs to the Abbey are still being carried out.

Pushing on towards Husborne Crawley, we were walking through nice wooded areas giving plenty of shade on a hot day.
A well earned coffee break was taken on the bench in Church End.
Suitably refreshed and on our way once again, we walked through Crawley Park farm and skirting round Aspley Guise.
Crossing fields of rape seeds ready for harvest, passing the pumping station, we joined with Aspley Lane for some short road walking.
Back into the tracks through the fields, we soon joined the track leading us back towards Birchmoor Green once again. Part way we met Joy whose walk it was supposed to be before she unfortunately had an accident whilst checking the route out the day before.
Back through the village and onto the car park for the end of what was a very enjoyable walk, which was enjoyed by all, on a hot sunny day with a gentle breeze keeping us cool along the way.
Regards Tony P
